Rome & Barcelona

Rome and Barcelona are repeatedly voted two of the world’s Top 10 loveliest cities – and not without good reason! Outstanding culinary traditions, pleasant temperatures all year-round, friendly people and bucketloads of temperament. In Barcelona you get Gaudi, an incomparable tapas culture and a mix of city and beach, while in Rome, it’s all about 'La Dolce Vita', with pizza, pasta and gelato. If you haven’t experienced both these cities already, you’ve definitely been missing out on something special! With Austrian Airlines, you can now fly from Vienna to Barcelona up to 14 times a week and to Rome up to 21 times a week, with seasonal variations. #Andiamo! #Vamos!

Nuremberg, Birmingham & Zadar

Eat bratwurst and gingerbread in Nuremberg, turn night into day in Birmingham and watch the sun slowly sink beneath the waves to the sounds of the Sea Organ in Zadar – Austrian Airlines makes all this possible and more! Depending on the season, and departing from Vienna, you can fly to Birmingham seven times a week and to Nuremberg twelve times a week. Austrian Airlines operates daily flights to the Croatian coastal town of Zadar in the summer months.

Zadar was already turning into one of our trending cities last year. To read more about the city on the Dalmatian coast, click here.

Greece

Austrian Airlines will be serving 19 destinations in Greece, up to 70 times a week this coming summer – that’s up to twelve flights a week more than in the same period last year. New additions to our 2020 product range include the coastal town of Kavala and the island of Samos. The number of flights to Rhodes is being increased from three to eight a week, and we’re serving Heraklion three times a week more often, with seven more connecting flights now departing. Corfu and Kos will be getting one more connection a week, rising to five and three flights a week respectively, and classic destinations such as Zakynthos, Karpathos, Mykonos and Skiathos will remain a core part of Austrian Airlines’ summer schedule.

Italy

Italy remains as popular a holiday destination as ever, of course, represented by 13 destinations in our programme. In addition to Rome, Sardinia-lovers will enjoy three extra connections to Olbia and one more flight to Cagliari. Palermo, on Sicily, is being increased from one to two connections a week. All of which adds up to Austrian flying to Italy up to 138 times a week in total!

Spain

Holidaymakers in Spain – as if the addition of Barcelona to our schedule were not enough – have a vast array of different connections to the Canary and Balearic Islands to choose from. Flights depart once a week to Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura and Tenerife, twice a week to Ibiza, and once a week to Menorca.

Boston

Go West! From end-March onwards, you’ll be able to fly Austrian Airlines non-stop from Vienna to Boston, with the service being offered four times a week to begin with, and six times a week from mid-April onwards. The metropolis on the Eastern Seaboard really does have something to offer everyone. Here are just a few of the highlights awaiting you:

Cultural highlights in Boston

Boston is one of the oldest cities in the US, and as you can imagine, has considerably more than its fair share of stories to tell. The numerous museums dotted across the city will enable you to expand your knowledge of American history, with some notable examples including the Harvard Museum of Natural History, the Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum, and the Museum of African American History.

Culinary highlights in Boston

Oysters, pizza and lobster... Wander through the streets of Boston, and you very often get the feeling you could be in Europe. The influences of all those ‘old countries’ are reflected particularly strongly in the city’s wonderfully varied cuisines, and anyone visiting Boston will find exactly what they’re looking for. Our culinary insider tips? The Union Oyster House, the Celeste and the Picco.

Sporting highlights in Boston

Boston does baseball. Boston does American football. Boston does ice hockey. When it comes to major sporting events, in fact, few cities in the USA can hold a candle to the city.

INFO

Our recommendation: experience an American baseball match – and let yourself get swept away by the atmosphere! Click here to book tickets in advance.
