Dubrovnik - the Pearl of the Adriatic Sea. In this article, we head for the coastal city in the south of Croatia and reveal our highlights.

1. Dubrovnik Highlight: The Old Town
Its medieval old town, protected by a magnificent city wall, is the heart of Dubrovnik. The graceful protective walls should not be missed during your visit, as they offer a wonderful view of the city and the sea beyond. Depending on your mood, you can visit one of the many museums, palaces and churches. Our highlights include the Rector's Palace, the Sponza Palace as well as the Church of St. Blaise and the Dubrovnik Cathedral. 3. Dubrovnik Highlight: Game of Thrones
Dubrovnik has always been a city that enchants its visitors. For a couple of years now, it has also attracted many fans of the popular series "Game of Thrones", as some spots in Dubrovnik have served as filming locations for many of the scenes in the fantasy series. By now, there are many Game of Thrones Tours that take you to the locations where Cersei and others forge their intrigues. The highlights clearly include:
- The Gradac Park: park, where the scenes of the Purple Wedding were filmed

4. Dubrovnik Highlight: Diving
Around the medieval city, there are numerous spots in the Adriatic Sea which are perfect for diving. Blue Planet Diving offers day trips with two organised dives, which take you to the colourful underwater world and wrecks.
5. Dubrovnik Highlight: Day Trips
Dubrovnik is not just ideal for a short city trip, but also a perfect starting point for day trips to nearby destinations. You can easily rent a car and set out to explore places just like Mostar, Herceg Novi or even the stunning Bay of Kotor.
6. Dubrovnik Highlight: Culinary delights
We all know the great Croatian cuisine with its fish and fresh seafood. Also, we could rave about it for hours. Of course, there are many opportunities to enjoy the cuisine right in the middle of the port city of Dubrovnik.
In the more rural area outside the city, you will come across many of the so-called "agriturismi". These are smaller family businesses that offer a limited but very fine selection of regional meals, mostly using home-grown vegetables. Wine lovers will find the perfect, matching wine for each meal from the wide wine selection Croatia has to offer.

After a long day of sightseeing in the Old Town, the best way to relax is with a cool cocktail. We recommend the Buža Bar. It is located outside the city in the rocks and offers a beautiful view. Simply perfect to enjoy the sunset!
